In Western Sidereal Astrology, a conjunction between two planets occurs when they have the same sidereal time at which they:

Rise Their equal sidereal times are derived from their right ascension and declination values.

Culminate on the Midheaven Their equal sidereal times are derived from only their right ascension values.

Set Their equal sidereal times are derived from their right ascension and declination values.

Anti-culminate on the IC Their equal sidereal times are derived from only their right ascension values plus 12.
